Blender Tutorials (Two of Choice)
* CRACKED GLASS *
Objective - Follow the tutorial to mimic the texture of cracked/cracking glass. Direction - There was very little individuality in my render, it is nearly identical to the tutorial's. Likes - I like the appearance, it mimics the glass during its cracking stage. You can see the texture of the glass, and the light refractions hitting inside as it shatters. It's a very realistic looking effect. Dislikes - I wish I had put more creativity into this tutorial. I sticked to the script almost exactly, which isn't necessarily bad but it is quite boring. * FOLIAGE MODEL | GHIBLI-ESQUE SHADER * Objective - Create a tree model that mimics the style of popular Japanese Film Studio, Studio Ghibli, using foliage inputs. Direction - I knew immediately I wanted to try and center one of my tutorials around Studio Ghibli, as I am a huge fan of their films. I think they have achieved a level of recognition like very few and are one of the last real film studios whose productions I could call "art." Likes - I like the rendered view of the foliage. It mimics the style I was going for and is close in appearance to Ghibli-aesthetic trees. Dislikes - I wish I would've gone back and added some color. Studio Ghibli is known for vibrance and beautiful color schemes, so I wish I incorporated that a little bit to add some flair, instead of just showing an untextured render. |
