Motivational Posters Introduction |
Motivational Posters Reflection & Summary |
This project is designed to combine our new photography skills (depth of field, shutter speed, etc) with our recent learning of Adobe Photoshop.
We were tasked with creating a minimum of 6 motivational posters. Each poster must be 8" by 10" in either landscape or portrait layout. Each poster must feature a motivational quote, a quote-summarizing word, and at least 4 different layers. Each poster should demonstrate a combination of various Photoshop skills to create 6 (or more) unique and engaging motivational posters. |
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my posters. I feel that they mostly demonstrate a wide variety of Photoshop tools/techniques. I tried to make each poster different from the others, with different layouts, color schemes, and effects.
I ran into some issues initially with conceptualizing good poster layouts. Researching motivational posters proved quite unsuccessful, as all the results were very boring and uninteresting "classroom" style layouts. After realizing this, I sketched out my own layouts on a scrap piece of paper to help guide me through Photoshop and make an attack plan as to how I would accomplish certain effects. There are a few things I'd change when looking at them now, but I'm still satisfied. |
